Dukes Awards
Besides the Pop Warner National All-American Scholars program, the Pop Warner Eastern Region Scholar Team, and the Mountain Valley Conference Don Block Award, our athletes are also eligible to be recognized for their scholastic achievements a little closer to home.with the Hillsborough Dukes James Langdon Award and for their volunteerism and dedication with the Hillsborough Dukes Nick Muller Award. JAMES LANGDON AWARD
This award is sponsored by the Hillsborough Dukes to honor James Langdon, a former Dukes Player who served his country as a US Marine. Each year, student's in grades 5-8+ can submit their first marking period report card for consideration to the Scholastic Committee. The report card should have no more than two B's in the 5 major subjects (Math, Science,
Reading, Writing and Social Studies) to qualify. Each year the best report cards identified by grade and gender will serve as benchmarks for the award. Recipients will be notified at the annual banquet, usually held in December of each year. NICK MULLER SCHOLASTIC AWARD
Nick Muller was a volunteer with the Dukes for 14 years from 1969 to 1983. The Dukes sponsor two $500 scholarships in his name for two graduating high school seniors, one for a former Duke Football Player and one for a former Duke Cheerleader, that have been recognized as individuals who have given back to our organization by unselfishly donating their time and effort as volunteers.

Hillsborough
High School recipients are recognized at the Senior Awards Program at the end of the school year. Private school recipients are honored during the Dukes General Monthly meeting.
